My name is Julie and I live in West Gippsland, Victoria.
I have been a quilt appreciator for over 20 years and had my sights set on making my very first one, back in the 90’s. One small problem: while I loved quilts, I had no idea how to make one! Fast forward approx 10 years and I was able to undertake beginner classes in quilt making. Despite not finishing the course, my love affair with quilt making had begun. With a little help from a friend, I was able to finish that first sampler quilt.
From those early days, it has always been the quilting that has drawn my eye first, well before the piecing. I love the effect thread on cloth gives and the unending variety of designs and textures it produces.
In 2012 and at my husbands suggestion, I bought my first Longarm quilting machine and from that point on, was hooked with Longarm quilting!
I provide an initial no obligation consult, where in partnership with the client, we discuss the quilts needs and their vision for how they see their finished quilt quilted. For those not local, I can provide a mail order service. (postage costs to be covered by client) That initial consult, can then be done via telephone or even face time call.
I believe every quilt has a story to tell and a journey it takes and feel honoured when a client allows me to be part of their quilts story, by quilting it. While my quilting passion is custom work, with heavy backfill, I happily quilt and offer other styles too. If you have a quilt that needs quilting, please don’t hesitate to get in touch through my contact page.
I look forward to hearing from you!
